Great country club. Very nice place for all kinds of activities ⛳️, family, friends, dates, etc… and the atmosphere it’s awesome
It's definitely a nice place, with a lot of greens and large spaces for a private gathering. Even the grand ballroom, along with the hosting area, was nice.
That said, it's a little hard to get to for someone without a car, and the parking is frankly speaking a little exorbitant. We had a wedding lunch held here and the carpark alone would have added up to be about 25sgd for a 3hours parking time. For a place that has this much space, as much as I recognize that they're trying to be a little more exclusive, is a little tough to reason.
Thankful to have been invited as a guest. A very warm, family atmosphere. Service was very welcoming. The grounds were extremely well kept. Food was delicious and a mix of western and local favorites. It felt as if you were no longer in Singapore. I didn't see any buildings at all from the rear balcony of the restaurant. Amazing.
Always enjoy this old course .. keeping the old nature with challenging green. Don’t expect a flat fairway even you land your ball in the middle of it... Long par 3 that you may need a driver at hole 18 else you expect to walk down to slope and up again... the clubhouse facility is great with clean showroom. The food served was yummy at the restaurant inside. Plenty of parking and friendly staff to assist you..
Limited access, for country club member only. There are restaurants, gym, golf area, and many more.
Access only by car only. No public transport reaches here. Carpark slots are spacious, can fit a lot of cars. Carpark price is quite expensive with $6.94 per hour. Grace period is 20 minutes.
We had a fantastic day on the Island course! Was pleasantly surprised by the pace of play as I was really expecting a slow round. The course itself has plenty of undulating terrain and makes you work to get around it in one piece. Greens are slick but well maintained. Nice bunkers and fairly decent layout. One less star for the amount of mud you come across. Many times I had a plugged ball or some much impeding a shot. I know it’s hard to control during the rainy season but seems they need to improve drainage. Clubhouse and restaurant were quite impressive as well. Hope to be back someday!
Don't enter if by look you do not look gorgeous or rich or somewhat belong the their customer.
Was waiting for a taxi with my 5 year old and elderly parents after hiking 9km and no more strength to walk back to carpark. The security told me I can't wait there. I have to walk all the way down island country club road to the main road, as he 'may get complaints from his customers'.
I feel very disheartened by this encounter. We had to walk down and walk in the rain. Security post told me actually usually get taxi at drop off point up at the club earlier.
Of course personally I shall avoid this club at all cost in future. No heart, only sees money and 'status'
